The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held an event at the European Parliament on Physiotherapy in Mental Health on the occasion of World Mental Health Day. The event, that took place on the 11th of October 2023, was hosted by MEPs Maria Walsh (EPP) and Alex Agius Saliba (S&D). The recording is already available!

The 14th General Meeting of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy will be held in Riga, Latvia on 23rd and 24th May 2024.

The members of the six Working Groups of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy met in Bilbao on 19th and 20th October 2023 for the 2nd Joint Working Groups Meeting of the 2022-2024 term

On 21 September 2023, EU-OSHA held a meeting in Brussels, with current and potential partners, to give an overview of the next campaign: “Safe and healthy work in the digital age”

The EU funded project InAbled Cities, coordinated by the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy, came to an end in June 2023. The main Intellectual Outputs of the project that promotes physical activity in open urban areas for people with physical disabilities and older people are already available on the Europe Region’s webpage.

On September 13, the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen delivered her annual speech before the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

On Monday 22nd May 2023, on the occasion of the European Mental Health Week and EUPHA week, the Mental Health Working Group of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held a webinar on Physiotherapy in Mental Health.

On Monday 15th May 2023 Europe region World Physiotherapy held an online webinar where physiotherapists from 5 different countries shared how advanced physiotherapy is practised.

The Chair and Vice-Chairs of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy have held several meetings with Member Organisations and National Government Institutions during the first half of 2023.

Spain will assume the Presidency of the Council of the EU in the second half of 2023, from 1 July to 31 December.
