On the 19th of January 2024, the Cancer Working Group of the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held an online European Summit on Physiotherapy in Cancer Care. Member Organisations of the Europe Region were given that chance to invite two representatives to attend the Summit. 

The event was divided into two parts. The first one was focused on the current landscape and future directions and included the following lectures:

• EU Policies in Cancer - Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan

• IPT-HOPE & the Europe Region

• Evidence Based Update on Research - Physiotherapy in Cancer Care

• Update on Clinical Practice - Physiotherapy in Cancer Care

• Report: Cancer Physiotherapy Activity in the Europe Region

These interventions were recorded and they are now available on our YouTube channel!

During the second part of the summit, the attendees were divided into three groups to have separated discussions on achievable milestones for the Cancer Working Group of the Europe Region within the next two years.

The Europe Region would like to acknowledge the invited speakers for their contribution, all the attendees from the Member Organisations for their participation and feedback, and the members of the Cancer Working Group for making this European summit possible.
