The European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA) is about to launch the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2023-25 ‘Safe and healthy work in the digital age’ and on 21 September 2023 they held a campaign partnership meeting in Brussels to give an overview of the goals of the new campaign to current and potential partners.
As official partners of the Healthy Workplaces Campaign 2023-2025, the Europe Region of World Physiotherapy attended the event in person to receive more information about the campaign.
The event, moderated by Brenda O’Brien, Senior Manager of EU-OSHA, kicked off with an introduction by William Cockburn, EU-OSHA Interim Executive Director, where he mentioned the importance of mitigating the negative effects that can appear due to digitalisation at work like musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) or isolation.
Annik Starren then gave a presentation where she introduced the priority areas of this upcoming campaign, which will focus on safe and healthy work in the digital age.
From the Europe Region we will support the whole campaign but we will specially focus on the priority area of ‘Remote and hybrid work’, addressing the prevention and management of MSDs that may be associated with this type of work.
The recording of the event is now available here!
