In April 2025, the 2025 Health and Missions Work Programme for Horizon Europe Cluster 1 Health Work Programme will be published. Two calls may involve physiotherapy:

• Advancing innovative interventions for mental, behavioural and neurodevelopmental disorders ➢ HORIZON-HLTH-2025-03-DISEASE-02-two-stage. The expected budget is 6 - 7 million EUR per project, with 5 projects to be funded.

• Implementation research addressing strategies to strengthen health systems for equitable high-quality care and health outcomes in the context of non-communicable diseases (GACD) ➢ HORIZON-HLTH-2025-01-DISEASE-06. The expected budget is 3 - 4 million EUR per project, with 5 projects to be funded.

Both topics belong to the Programme's Destination 3 - Tackling diseases and reducing disease burden. The two-stage proposal comprises a short (blind) application due on 18 September 2025, with a full application due on 16 April 2026.

While expected topics are subject to change (e.g., budget changes, topics may be removed or postponed, dates may be moved, etc.), the calls will likely open on 22 May 2025, with 19 topics anticipated. Expected deadlines for proposals are set for 18 September 2025. The Horizon projects rely on effective Consortium composition, and it may be useful to participate in the search of partners to collaborate on the topics through the EU Funding & Tenders portal.
