Following the withdrawal of the application by the Israeli Organisation of Physiotherapists, the Executive Committee has decided to select the Latvian Physiotherapists Association’s bid to host the next General Meeting of the Europe Region in Riga. 

In order to take this decision, the Executive Committee reviewed the applications originally received and made a shortlist. The Member Organisations that submitted the two highest ranked bids were contacted by the Secretariat to ask for reconfirmation of their willingness and availability to host the event. The decision to select Latvian’s bid was taken by the Executive Committee during an online meeting on 31st October 2023. 

The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy would like to thank the Latvian Physiotherapists Association for accepting the challenge of hosting the next General Meeting of the Region with such a short notice and for the hard work they have put into proving themselves as a suitable option. 

The Europe Region would also like to acknowledge and thank the numerous Member Organisations that offered to host the 2024 General Meeting.
