The manifesto seeks to end the inequalities experienced by women in the health care system and calls for an EU Women's Health Strategy that incorporates points such as:
tackling the pay and pension gap,
international Collaboration on Women’s Health,
promoting a positive approach to ageing and health,
establishing an EU coalition for sex and gender in health professional education…
The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy has endorsed the manifesto together with other organisations such as the European Cancer Organisation, the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA) and the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME).
Physiotherapists help prevent, manage and treat many women's specific conditions. Facilitating access to physiotherapy is key to combat some inequalities women face in health care.
