Europe Region | Webinar on demand! The Role of Physiotherapy in Intermittent Claudication

The Europe Region of World Physiotherapy held a webinar to highlight what physiotherapists can do about intermittent claudication with experts from different European countries.

Intermittent Claudication, which is caused by peripheral artery disease, affects millions of Europeans, leading to severe disability and adverse health consequences. Despite the established effectiveness of exercise and guidelines’ recommendations, physiotherapy treatment is rarely offered to these patients.

An exception to that is the Netherlands, where the Royal Dutch Society for Physiotherapy (KNGF) in collaboration with Chronic CareNet have been actively promoting treatment for Intermittent Claudication.

In the webinar the guidelines for physiotherapy treatment for Intermittent Claudication, developed by KNGF were presented.

The event, which took place on Wednesday 29 January 2025, grabbed the attention of more than 270 physiotherapists all over the world.

Now you can relive the webinar on the Europe Region’s YouTube channel!
